An Identity Built on Truth

Love Ghost describes the project as an “emo goth” outlet, but that label barely scratches the surface. The sound shifts constantly, from aggressive, scream-heavy tracks to stripped-down piano ballads, but the throughline remains consistent: honesty.

The lyrics are rooted in lived experience, often exploring mental health, trauma, addiction, and the feeling of being an outsider.

Rather than creating a persona, Love Ghost leans into authenticity as the defining element.

“The more honest, the better,” he explains, emphasizing that staying true to yourself is far more difficult than gaining attention in today’s oversaturated landscape.

Early influences stem from ‘90s alternative and grunge, bands like Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and The Smashing Pumpkins, layered with darker tones from artists like The Cure and Marilyn Manson. 

But the project doesn’t stay rooted in nostalgia.

There’s a clear second wave of inspiration pulled from the SoundCloud generation, artists like Lil Peep, XXXTentacion, and Juice WRLD, bringing emotional vulnerability into a more modern, genre-blurring space. 

The result is a hybrid that feels both familiar and unpredictable, constantly shifting but always intentional.

Finding an Audience Beyond Borders

One of the most unexpected turns in Love Ghost’s journey didn’t happen in Los Angeles, it happened online.

After noticing a surge of Spanish-language comments, particularly from Mexico and Latin America, he made a decision that would reshape the project entirely: he packed up and drove to Mexico.

There, he immersed himself in a new creative environment, collaborating with artists, recording daily, and performing for audiences that immediately connected with his work. 

It’s a reminder that in the digital age, success isn’t confined to geography.

“You could be overlooked in your hometown,” he explains, “and still find an audience across the world that truly understands what you’re doing.” 

The Power of Collaboration

Collaboration has become a key part of Love Ghost’s evolution.

Working with artists like Tim Skold has helped refine not just the sound, but the way ideas are translated into fully realized tracks. 

But beyond the obvious technical growth, it’s the subtle influence, the small creative shifts and perspectives, that continue to shape the project in deeper ways.

Romance, Ruin, and Visual Storytelling

Love Ghost’s visuals are just as intentional as the music.

Projects like Gas Mask Wedding highlight a recurring theme: the collision of opposites. Inspired by Japanese street art and dystopian imagery, the concept explores love in a post-apocalyptic setting, where something inherently beautiful is forced to exist in a hostile, broken world. 

It’s a striking metaphor for the project itself.
