For Call Me Karizma, the current chapter of his career is about something deeper than success. It’s about redemption.
In a recent conversation with Breakline Press, the artist reflected on the ups and downs of navigating the music industry, and how reconnecting with his fans has become the center of everything he does.
“Right now my career is about redemption and comeback,” he explains. “People like to use the term ‘fell off’, and that used to be a fear of mine.”
Rather than chasing algorithms or industry trends, Karizma says he’s spent the last several years rebuilding something far more meaningful: trust with the people who have supported him from the beginning.
“The last few years I have been hyper focused on fan-building again,” he says. “Not worrying about trying to find new listeners, but feeding my fans and regaining their trust and support.”
That mindset has allowed him to rediscover the joy of creating music without external pressure.
“The pressure is off, and I am finally having fun just making great music again and not worrying about anything except if my fans and I enjoy it.”

The Power of Vulnerability
One of the defining elements of Karizma’s music has always been its emotional honesty, something he says is essential to both his artistry and the community that surrounds it.
“Vulnerability is everything to not only my music, but Call Me Karizma and Gloomy Culture as a whole,” he says. “Without blunt, honest lyrics, I wouldn’t be here.”
He credits that authenticity for sustaining his career even during times when the industry spotlight shifted elsewhere.
“Honesty kept my career alive while internet and streaming artists faded from everyone else’s memories.”

A Live Experience Built on Connection
For Karizma, the stage is where everything comes together.
“My live shows are my lifeblood,” he says. “Without my concert, there is no Call Me Karizma.”
Whether he’s performing for a small crowd in an intimate venue or a packed room thousands of miles from home, the emotional exchange between artist and audience remains the same.
“My favorite moment of all is when I can turn the mic into the crowd and they sing every single word.”
That moment, he says, is a reminder of why he writes in the first place.
“It’s an unreal feeling to have people from all walks of life scream out the words I wrote in my room while I was dealing with something. Music transcends all.”

Looking Ahead
Karizma is now preparing to release his newest project, The Gloomy Tapes, Vol. 3, his first independently released album since 2018.
“I have invested countless dollars and hours into this album, even creating all the artwork myself,” he explains. “This will be my first indie album in years, so it’s truly just me and the fans this time around.”
For him, that independence is exactly what makes the project special.
“This is our album.”
And if there’s one message he hopes listeners take away from his music, it’s a simple but powerful one:
“Perfection is impossible, but honesty is as close as you’ll get to perfect.”
